A short, honest note about what aarakumcm.online is — and isn't.
aarakumcm.online is a small, hobby web page that shows three public figures who have been discussed in Kerala media as possible Chief Minister names and lets a visitor click one button to register a casual preference. The click only increases an anonymous counter — nothing else.
It is meant as a conversation piece: a "who would you pick?" toy that runs while real news and commentary play out elsewhere. It is for fun and entertainment, in the spirit of an online fan poll.
In commentary and conversation around the 2026 Kerala election, three Congress leaders kept being mentioned in the same breath whenever the question of a UDF Chief Minister came up. Those three names are shown on the home page. The choice is purely editorial for this hobby project — it does not represent a party shortlist and it is not an official list of contenders.
When you click a face on the home page, the browser sends a one-line message to a small server that increases a counter by one. Nothing about you is stored alongside that increment. The number you see is the total of those anonymous clicks, plus a starting figure shown in the project's configuration. Counts may reset or be removed at any time and should never be treated as opinion polling, exit polling, or any kind of representative survey.
Voting may be turned on or off at different times. When it is off, the page is read-only and shows a frozen snapshot of the click totals along with whichever figure was set as the on-page display in the project's configuration. That display is a label on this site only and does not represent any official appointment.
This project was made for fun and conversation. It is not an election, not scientific polling, and not news. Treat numbers as a rough snapshot, not a dataset. Photos of public figures are used for identification under fair-use commentary; rights holders may request a takedown at any time.
No harm or endorsement of any person or party is intended.
